2009-10 Girls Basketball Season

Alrighty then, it is basketball season at Aledo Christian and the girls are hitting it hard.  I didn't get to shoot too many of the girls games but had a fun time when I did.  The lady eagles always play with a lot of heart and really didn't have too bad of year this year.  There were ups and downs but all-in-all, a great year!

Christmas Portraits

Christmas is full of fabulous things to do, to enjoy, to eat and also a great time to capture your family images in history to have forever.

I did many portraits for this season and wanted to share a couple with you.  I do anything from one to a whole crowd.

These images were in the studio but we have a limitless backdrop if you want your photos done outside.  There are many fabulous locations to choose from!

If you haven't considered it, contact me and we can look and what packages work best for your family portraits.  Don't delay though as the season is short and the availability is limited. There is NO time like today as they will never look quite the same.
I can help you to be sure that you are Capturing Tomorrow's Memories Today!

2009-10 Sports Cards

Here was a fun idea that the kids loved for their facebook wall - personal player cards.  I took each player and created a personal card, just for them!  Really fun and cool.

Are you interested in one?  Just let me know, I can make one for any sport, or of any athlete, musician, dancer, virtually anything your child is into.  Give me shout and let's make your child a star!

2009-10 Football

Football season is in full swing and it wouldn't be fall without this sport. Just wanted to post a couple of my favorites so far.

This photo is during a smashing that Aledo Christian School was bringing to a team in Mineral Wells. What made this game fun was the rain. The boys were having such a great time as the rest of us were watching our clocks hovered beneath our umbrellas. You can actually see the rain in this image. One of my all-time favorites.

Wouldn't have any game without the playing of the National anthem. This photo just captured the moment of the solemnness of what that song represents. What a great country we live in and what great men and women who were willing to die to give us the rights and freedoms we have and sometimes have taken for granted.

Perfect fall day gathered together to watch a bunch a kids who love the sport of football. Good times.

School Portraits

YEARBOOK PHOTOS:

Another event for me to shoot was yearbook photos for a local private school. This was a new adventure for me and quite an event; with children ranging from 4 years to their 50's (staff - lol)!  Really wasn't sure what I was signing up for but it turned out to be a great learning experince and I think the kids really had a great time too.

So many times, children hate getting their school photos because the photographer comes in, snaps one, maybe two shots and then moves on. Well, that is not how I did this event. I took at least 5 shots of each child and at time up to 10 - depends on the child. Some were a bit more nervous about the whole matter and needed to warm up to the camera. Others were sitting down ready to go with their smile up and face aglow. It was an all day event but so worth the time spent.  Really a different experience shooting consecutive people with varying ages but think all-in-all, it was a great event!

Definitely something I would like to do again if given the opportunity, but as with any new experience, you walk away with fresh ideas for the next time!  So keep your eyes open, I may be doing your school next year!

Just had to have some fun with a beautiful flower image I had captured. I am always trying to find new and fun ideas and this flower was so splendid I just had to post my creation.

Precious Packages

Nothing better than shooting a little gift from heaven. Just love the little ones! Such delicate packages and so incredible tender and innocent. Had the best time on this shoot and loved every minute. If you have a little one, be sure to capture them quickly, they change so much and so fast and usually there is so much going on, you can easily forget to capture their image professionally.

A great idea is to schedule a photo shoot before you have the baby for a couple of weeks after your due date. That way you don't forget as you already have it on the calendar!

National Swimmers in 2011

We had an awesome time in San Antonio, Texas for this years State Meet. The Weatherford Water Roos boys 9-10 Free Relay was the highpoint of the week-end when they smashed the other relays by coming in first! It was an excellent race to watch and incredible victory for these boys who have been swimming together in some form of a relay for a couple of years now.

Starting on the bottom right is John Russum who started out the relay. Next to him, going left in the photo, is Clayton Cray who was swimming the second leg. Brazos Hard, to Clayton's left, swam third and bringing it home in the anchor leg was Jeremiah Carlson on the far bottom left corner of the photo!

Pictured in the back left is Kristy Weaver, the Director of the whole Taft Events in San Antonio and also our local Weatherford Parks and Recreation Director. Linda Williams is the head coach for the Water Roos with Jonathan Carlson (a competitor and youth coach to Linda's right followed by the team assistant coach, Debra Wood.

W'ford Swim Team... the Water Roos

Well this week-end we are heading to our yearly regional meet in Keller, Texas and we have quite a few shining stars on this team, I might add. We have two swimmers who have competed two years ago at the national swim meet in Colorado and one of those swimmers (Audrey) even won first place. Audrey can be seen here with Jaelle as they finished their IM swim at the Cleburne meet the last week-end in June.

We have a great team attitude in which we cheer each other on to victory! Go Roos! To view swim team galleries go link found on the right of this blog or click on the link above.

TEA PARTY: July 04, 2009

There was another great turnout in Weatherford for the second TEA party to tell legislators that we are TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY! From the reports I have heard, even the media is having to take notice as this is not just a passing fad, it is a growing movement. Because of the power of the Internet and Blogs like mine, people are networking and joining forces that is making a difference.

At this event the Parker/Wise State Representative Phil King spoke as well as the Texas State Railroad Commissioner Michael Williams. He is reaching out to voters as he would like to be the US Congressman for the state of Texas in the seat currently held by Kay Bailey Hutchison. He talked about how he hasn't taken the allocated raise that has been given to him by the state for the past few years. He made it known that he doesn't agree with the current presidential leader and his direction! He really reached out to the crowd and was received really well! His message was inspiring to me this time as well as the last time I heard him speak, a little over a year ago at the Texas Republican Convention held in Houston, Texas.

Write this name down, Michael Williams...a very personable man, a great Texan, an outspoken conservative and he has my vote! To view more photos from this event, go to the links on the right and click!
